TweetUi

The TweetUi Kit builds upon TwitterCore to provide rich Twitter UI components for your app. TweetUi provides:

  • TweetViews for rendering individual Tweets or lists of Tweets in your app.
  • Timelines for showing scrollable user timelines or search timelines which load items dynamically.

Set Up Kit

Note

Skip this section if you installed Twitter Kit using the Twitter Kit installation instructions.

Add the TweetUi Kit to your build.gradle dependencies. View the TweetUi changelog for the latest version numbers.

dependencies {
    compile('com.twitter.sdk.android:tweet-ui:2.3.1@aar') {
        transitive = true;
    }
}

Be sure the TweetUi Kit and TwitterCore Kit are included in your application’s Fabric.with() call.

import io.fabric.sdk.android.Fabric;
import com.twitter.sdk.android.core.Twitter;
import com.twitter.sdk.android.core.TwitterAuthConfig;
import com.twitter.sdk.android.tweetui.TweetUi;
...

@Override
public void onCreate() {
    super.onCreate();
    TwitterAuthConfig authConfig =  new TwitterAuthConfig("consumerKey", "consumerSecret");
    Fabric.with(this, new TwitterCore(authConfig), new TweetUi());
}

Render Tweets

With the TweetUi Kit setup, tweets can be rendered in your app by following the instructions in the TweetViews and Timelines documents.
